Whenever there is a ways on how to use a new technology or marketing tool, small business owners want to jump on the bandwagon of hope, and know that this is finally the answer to all your problems.

This will be the marketing solution, you have been looking forever. Not only that, it will cost less and attract more sales. Hallelujah.

I hate to be bearer of bad news, but the media will not fix a broken business model.

The media is a tool that only works in combination with a strong business philosophy, base and action plan, and how to use a new technology or marketing tool.

The truth is that you need a solid base of small businesses before being marketed, so the media will be more effective.

You need to have a unique selling proposition, the target page, the free offer, a sticky website or blog. That's when Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn work for you.

Facebook is the magic formula for your business. As twitterk will be their savior. And probably guessed, but LinkedIn, in itself, will be your knight in shining armor.

Now, here's the thing. I am the first person to shout from the rooftops that social media is an awesome tool for small businesses.

Bring dozens of potential customers every day just to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

However, it is necessary to understand how to use a new technology or marketing tool, to save his business. Is the effective combination of a solid foundation of marketing, tools and consistency.

If you do not have a solid base of business, social media can not help your business. In fact, it may even hurt your business. the media can not fix broken a small business and certainly not a Band-Aid.

social media is a tool. Nothing more, nothing less. And if used along with a strong business philosophy, base and plan of action, so when their power will be unleashed.
