Surakarta - Stasiun Balapan Solo mulai hari Rabu, 23 Mei 2012, telah menjual tiket arus balik  untuk tujuan Jakarta. Tiket ini berlaku untuk keberangkatan pada 21 Agustus mendatang atau H+1 Lebaran.

 Rustanto, selaku Wakil Kepala Stasiun Solo Balapan mengatakan penjualan tiket memang bisa dilayani 90 hari sebelum tanggal keberangkatan. katanya "Tapi tadi saya cek masih ada banyak tiket untuk keberangkatan ke Jakarta pada 21 Agustus. Tiket baru terjual 25 persen,", Rabu, 23 Mei 2012.

Untuk rute Solo-Jakarta dia menjelaskan ada 3 kereta yang akan  disiapkan, yaitu Argo Dwipangga ,Argo Lawu, , dan Senja Utama. Kereta eksekutif Argo Lawu ataupun Argo Dwipangga saat ini menyediakan 350 tempat duduk. Sedangkan untuk kereta bisnis Senja Utama ada 448 kursi.

ia menduga  bahwa masih sepinya penjualan tiket karena masyarakat belum tahu bahwa tiket bisa dibeli 90 hari sebelum keberangkatan. anggapan masyarakat bisa jadi seperti tahun lalu, di mana tiket baru bisa dipesan 40 hari sebelum tanggal berangkat.

Apalagi penumpang saat arus mudik dan arus balik kebanyakan adalah penumpang musiman. sehinggai tidak begitu perhatian terhadap kebijakan-kebijakan baru PT Kereta Api. "Biasanya mereka baru ribut cari tiket seminggu sebelum keberangkatan," tuturnya.

Selain itu, masih sepinya penjualan tiket menurutnya dikarenan H+1 belum puncak arus balik dari Solo. Dia memperkirakan puncak arus balik pada H+2 sampai H+5 Lebaran. Dia menyarankan masyarakat segera memesan tiket jauh-jauh hari agar tak kehabisan tiket. "Penjualan tiket secara online dimulai pukul 00.00 dan untuk di loket pukul 07.00 WIB," ujar Rustanto.

Salah seorang warga yang ditemui di Stasiun Solo Balapan, Linda, mengaku tidak tahu bahwa tiket bisa dipesan H-90. "Tahunya H-40," tuturnya. Biasanya ia membelikan tiket arus balik untuk keluarganya dari Jakarta yang mudik ke Solo.

Begitu juga Sumarno yang baru tahu jika tiket arus balik Lebaran bisa dibeli mulai hari ini. "Kalau begitu, nanti saya  akan segera kontak saudara di Jakarta. Kira-kira mau dipesankan tiket pulang ke Jakarta untuk tanggal berapa," ujarnya.
